Why desktop
The desktop app keeps the lesson surface dedicated to class time while preserving the same server-authoritative classroom rules.
A dedicated desktop shell keeps the classroom focused and reduces browser noise on Windows devices.
Teachers and learners stay inside one classroom window with fewer distractions around the lesson.
The beta stays private until the signed installer, staging smoke test, and rollout checks are ready.
The first release path is designed for Windows devices where most desktop classroom testing happens today.
Safety and trust
The desktop app is intentionally not a public installer yet. That gives us room to verify signing, packaging, and Windows smoke tests before a wider release.
